Evie Maes Pit Barbecue: A BBQ Haven in Miramar Beach

We just had lunch here, and the only bad part was when out plates were cleared. The meat is juicy and tender. The sides are delicious. Staff was super courteous. I would highly recommend! I can’t wait to come back and try dessert.

Absolutely loved this place it is one of the better restaurants we ate at while we were in town . Everything was tender and juicy and full of flavor from the pulled pork to the brisket nothing was dry . Out of the several restaurants we tried this was the best .

Delectable smokey BBQ meats in a sea of seafood restaurants! Standouts were the brisket and baked potatoe casserole side. Brisket was a bit uneven with my sandwich having fatty and tender meat and my brothers sandwich was tasty but dry. I've never seen such a clean, bright and spacious BBQ restaurant. My favorite place in Destin hands down. Everything is gluten free (except bread for non GF customers but it kept separately. The ribs and brisket were amazing and there was an entire dessert case full of GF desserts. A celiac’s paradise!

Inside/outside dinning. Large portions of meats and sides. Great flavor at very fair prices. The self-service bar of pickles, onions, peppers, bread and condiments is fantastic. Great family atmosphere. Very clean. The 'family' take-out looked to be a great deal! We'll be back

I recently dined at Evie Mae’s BBQ and had an exceptional barbecue experience! The service and food were outstanding. We discovered their BBQ truck at a competition and decided to give it a try—definitely a great choice! If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by to enjoy the delicious food. Great, authentic Texas bbq! We ordered the sampler platter to try it all. The Brisket is some of the best I've ever had. The ribs are excellent; the pork, chicken, and turkey are all great as well. Their baked beans are so delicious, and the peanut butter pie is absolutely amazing! The only disappointment was that the service is not super friendly or welcoming. Other than that, an overall great experience.

Finally made it to Evie’s to give their BBQ a try being a BBQer myself I had high hopes! Great atmosphere and customer service. Wanted to try all the meats but they were already out of smoked turkey so only got to try brisket, ribs, half chicken, pulled pork and sausage. Was a little disappointed in the lack of flavor of the brisket. Couldn’t taste any SPG or any seasoning to that matter. The sausage was definitely different than any sausage I have tried. It was stuffed with cheese that threw off the flavor that was great without the cheese. The ribs were the best of the group of meats. For the sides we got cheesy corn grits, green beans, baked beans and potato salad. All of those were a hit with the corn grits being #1, green beans #2, baked beans #3 and potato salad #4. Definitely a must try if you’re visiting Destin FL.
